     On the last day of May 2019, I enjoyed trekking at Mount Kuju, located in the center of Kyushu Island. It was a rainy day, but I enjoyed the beautiful green of early summer.

Ocean Trans Ferry

     Sometimes I take a domestic ferry boat from Tokyo to Tokushima-city when I go back to Yamaguchi from Tokyo.  It is an over night cruising.

SOTA JA/YG-020 3/3

     Sitting alone on the summit of JA/YG-020,  I operated his radio and his morse key without him.  I felt like he was at my side.  Oto,  I'll take you to a higher place.  Higher than heaven.

     This is the sunset view on the summit of JA/YG-020.  Both of the radio (FT-817ND) and the morse key belong to him (JO4GMS OTO).  I stayed alone in the darkness waiting for signals from far away.

SOTA JA/YG-020 1/3

     I made a SOTA activation on 23rd of December, 2017.  I started climbing from the afternoon avoiding mountain climbers, and operated the radio until after sunset.  This SOTA flag is from my friend JO4GMS (Oto Moriyama).  He has passed away in June 2017 without placing it on the summit.  I came to the summit for him.
     May God give you eternal rest, Oto.  I miss you so much.

     For a month in 2-3 months,  I go to work in Tokyo.  Sometimes I ride more than 900 kilometers all the way from Yamaguchi-city to my office.  It takes about 15 hours.

     This is a Hi-Mound "HK701" from my old days.  I like its peculiar "top-hat" handle.  There was a sister model with a marble made table but I purchased this standard mold type.  I was in my teens and I didn't have enough money.  Now, I prefer this simple edition much more than marble one.

AKG K10

     I am interested in an AKG K10 professional monaural headphone.  This is cool... but little expensive.  I saw various types of AKGs in Akihabara last week but I could not meet with K10.  I am afraid of its high impedance (360 ohms).  I do not know this is good for radio communication or not.

Starting Morse Key Building

     I am building a new Morse key made in Germany.  I have an old Hi-Mound telegram key, but I want to use something new.  KENT "TP1-B" looks nice.
     Most of the "made in Japan" Morse keys are too much to me.  They are gaudy and showy.  I prefer simple basic models.
